N*E*R*D*-Sooner or Later (VIDEO)

One of my favorite songs off the Seeing Sounds album.

Saturday, December 27, 2008

Sometimes I forget to be a human. Seriously. I don't know how many people actually read this blog that know me, I assume that not many, but i started this as a way to express my beliefs and feelings, and I have gotten away from that. Too busy posting awesome videos from world star hip hop. I want to get back into the essence of me, my soul, and my heart. Thats what makes me the fucked up artist that I am. Even my own music has taken an impersonal turn for the worse. I need to get back into with the real me and not what i think you want me to be. I need to go back to making music from my heart. As i close this blog entry and this year, i pray that in 09 i find myself. I spent too much time in 08 trying to find someone else that i have lost myself. this is my dedication.

F.L.O. vs. Dirtbag Dan (Grind Time West)

Dirtbag Dan in my opinion
PART 1

PART 2

Tuesday, November 25, 2008

Sorry about the delay in posting a blog. I guess I been wrapped up in my many ventures. I missed some important things in history while I was on hiatus. We got a black president ya'll, how crazy is that. Two years ago you couldnt have told me that that would happen. I am proud right now, though ive never lacked in that regards. Obama is the real deal right now, i hope he doesnt fuck it up. Even if he does this is still a historical moment.

I started a tshirt company and i am proud to present to you the first of many. This is the "My president is black" t shirt. Its on sale for $20 bucks, and unfortunately its not available online yet.

The Saurus Vs. Madness Rap Battle Pt. 1 [Grind Time]

I didn't expect this battle to be this hot. damn.

Young Chris - You Don't Even Know

My boy Tef Poe swore to me that Young Chris is nicer than Jay-Z. I was skeptical of this claim, but if you listen, you might be able to see the genius in Young Chris' flow.

You call it.

Illuison-Z vs. Passwurdz Rap Battle

I enjoyed this for some reason...

Yung LA feat. Young Dro and T.I.-Ain't I

Not very impressed with Yung LA verse, and thats not his fault. Dro and T.I. murdered this track. Props anyway for getting on Grand Hustle though. This is Dro's protege so his has to have some type of skills.

Jean Grae Selling Verses on Craigslist

So since Babygrande is jacking her off with a unauthorized CD, Jean decided to take matters into her own hands. This is hilarious and kinda tempting to get a Jean feature would be dope. Peep the story below.

Crime Mob chicks arguing.....

When people can't really rap and they get challenged from someone who thinks they are obviously better they say the following: "Where the money?" Case in point; the chicks from Crime Mob. They obviously don't like each other nowadays since the one chick split the group. Peep the video and see which one is the wack rapper, and which one knows they can spit better.

T.I. feat. Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Lil Wayne-S.L.U. (Swagger Like Us)

As of right now I am undecided if I like it. This could be an anthem though. There is a cease and desist out on this, but Kanye posted it on his blog, so I figure it's open season.

It brings me great pleasure to announce that I am launching a clothing line. It is called Jungle City Clothing and it will focus on T-Shirts with an emphasis on colors and satrical statements. This is the beginning of something big and I can't wait til we go into production (which we are working on aggresively). Stay tuned and check out the blog for it.

JEDI GYM

In one word....HILARIOUS!!!

Rocsi Can't Handle the Heat!

Okay So Rocsi has had it rough lately. First G-Unit runs her name in the mud. They call her a hoe and tell all about her exploits. Now this. Terrence just do walks her the entire show. He talks about her not being able to read the teleprompter, talks about her bad breath, and asks her 'why can't you have a body like Ciara?'. Damn that shit was cold. She eventually said fuck all that and walked off the set. It's Ok baby. When someone is being an asshole you have to match hm. Losing your cool is only gonna make them feel better. I will console Rocsi in her time of need. LOL. Thanks to Khal at Rockthedub for putting the video up.

SHAQ AND HIS WIFE UPDATE

I dont really keep up with entertainment bullshit, but I originally posted shaqs break up with his wife and the not so hot girl he was kicking it with. Now it seems Shaq and his wife have reconciled which is obviously the right thing to do for the children. Nice work Shaq. Wifey is fine and that thing on the side looked like a THING on the side. Props to light skin power!

January Blaq

My boy Black Nate (future manager) called me the other morning at like 6:30 am to tell me he got some dope new music. See, the music climate is so messed up that when one of my circle finds someone talented. then we all share it. So I download dudes mixtape, which is free online. Pop it on the jump drive, and ride to work with it (if your cd player doesnt have a usb port in the front, then you need to step your game up). Dude was straight nice. Had good beats, good delivery, entertaining lyrics, and so on and so forth. I was thoroughly impressed. A few days later Black Nate hits me up to tell me dude lives in St. Louis now. Then later that day dude comes through to a sit-in we were having at STARBUCKS (long story, I'ma have to do a post on that fuckery). At any rate long story short, I'm real excited to work with dude in the very near future. Dope rappers are few and far between in St. Louis (if you could imagine). Download dudes mixtape, its free and dope. Hip-Hop is still alive buddy.

WELCOME HOME....THE MPC 2000XL

So I am known locally amongst certain circles for being a nice producer. I have a unique way of making music that is specific to me. Think...Swizz beats sampling his own melodies into an mpc. My method works for me and people cant figure out how i do what i do. I love that. Well this friday I am purchasing an AKAI MPC 2000XL. I am no stranger to this machine for I have owned one in the past. I lost it due to shady people. At any rate, I'm excited to get this piece of equipment. It's time for me to start using more keyboards and new sounds and this is the key to controlling all of it. Friday is christmas for me right now.

SPRINT INSTINCT

So in my never ending quest to have the hottest cell phone on the market, i picked up the instinct on monday. I already have the blackberry 8830 world edition as my business phone, but I wanted a high-end phone for my personal line. I chose this phone because i figured i need a touch screen. I was actually pretty shocked when i realized how fun this phone really is. I don't get into the iphone war like everybody else. i dont have AT&T so this was not an option for me. Sprint did a good job in my opinion. There is always room for improvement but for right now your boy Tech Supreme is quite happy with my personal phone.

I'M A HIP-HOP JUNKIE

Okay so last night, the good folks at Scion threw another banger of a show. The acts were Nice N Smooth and Black Sheep. Lets jump right in shall we? Nice N Smooth murdered it. Smooth B was calm and collected while Greg Nice was everywhere. He worked the crowd like a mad man. At one point I dont know where he went, I could just hear his voice. An amazing show to say the least. And yes I am a Hip-Hop Junkie. Unfortunately the "headliner" was Black Sheep. Not a whole lot of energy at all from Dres. To say the least his set was wack and he insisted on doing new material. Not a good look when people came to hear your classics. No Strobelight Honey? What type of non-effort fuckery is that? At any rate it was a cool vibe, beautiful women, and a free ass show. Good shit Scion. I'm still never gonna buy one, but whatever.

Don Imus does not like Black People

Dude does not like black people. Simple as that. It doesnt surprise me. I would really respect him more if he said the comments, and then be like 'hells yeah i said it. and what?!?'. The fuckery comes when he completely back tracks even though everything he says is on the record. The new foot in mouth is his comments on PacMan Jones. Read on..............

COUNTDOWN TO OVERDOSE

I wont front, ever since I heard her music I have been a fan. I mean she is a talent to be reckoned with. Unfortunately, her drug abuse is not just a topic of some of her records. It is only a matter of time before its memorial T-Shirt time. That is if she doesnt get her act together. I would never wish that upon anyone but if you follow her career, then you are witnessing what they call a "trainwreck" in the making. Somebody in her circle needs to force her to go to rehab. Fuck that 'no, no, no!' bullshit. Just my thoughts....I could be wrong...I've been wrong before.

This Is Some Grade A bulls**#$

You want fuckery in the highest degree? R.Kelly is a free man. I am disturbed and depressed and I vow to never take my unborn child into the perverted streets of Chicago. I will not support Kells album, and any of his ventures. This is a sad time for me.

Wednesday, June 4, 2008

The face of the demise of R. Kelly

This is Lisa Van Allen. She is 27, and is a key witness in the trial of pedo singer R. Kelly. She testified about multiple threesomes with Kells and the child. Damn dude. What type of fuckery are we coming to? Did she know she was a child then? If she did, then she is just as grimey as Kells. At any rate, if Kelly gets off, then entertainers are truly lawless.
Today is a good day for music. People get into the habit of bitching and moaning about music. Hip-Hop is not dead. Not only is it alive, but it's better than ever. On a mainstream level it is kinda difficult to get past the bs, but Hip-Hop is alive on the charts. Jay-Z is Hip-Hop. Kanye West is Hip-Hop. Lil Wayne is Hip-Hop. Those are three of the biggest artists in muisc and they make good music. Have you heard Carter 3. Its crazy.

The real true Hip-Hop is on the underground level. If you desire real lyrics and dope beats then turn off the tv. Turn off the radio. Hit up your local stores because I am posititve there are local artists on the shelves that spit rediculous bars. Dont wanna do that? Then go to the blogs. The blogs are the new hustle for music. I mean how can Hip-Hop be dead with artists like Wale, Saigon, The Cool Kids, Kidz N the Hall, Lupe Fiasco (not so underground), and many others.

Hip-Hop is doing good right now.

THIS WEEKS WTF MOMENT GOES TO....

This Sean Bell thing has been fucking with me all week. This is so unjust and ridiculous that it doesnt make sense. I just dont understand why we are not angrier at the non guilty verdict. I know its not because two of the shooters were black? Fuck that! This is not how I want to live as a society. I am tired of police being lawless. The NYPD is the biggest gang in the world. They will shoot you in cold blood and get away with it. WTF!!???!!! Isolated incident my ass. How many innocent black people have to die because of racist stereotypes and bad snap judgements? Dont forget Amadou Diallo. Dont forget Ousmane Zongo. This is an outrage and needs to be properly addressed. Of course we (black people) have been so conditioned for this type of treatment, we will not respond with proper conviction. Instead we will continue to take the abuse, and instead go buy some new jordans, or a new car, or maybe some fresh clothes. Too often we are our own worst enemies. To wrap it all up, fuck the NEW YORK POLICE DEPARTMENT. I also wanna give a special fuck you to all the media outlets. What the fuck does Reverend Wright have to do with Barack Obama. Nas said it best, "Dont nobody want a nigga having shit". R.I.P. SEAN BELL. My prayers are with your family.

You want some facts on Sean Bell and a couple other similar stories. Check these links.

Chiba from Miss Rap Supreme

tattoos + pretty face + nice body = Tech's wifey
She can rap worse than Fabo and I wouldn't give two shits. I will watch this show because she is fine!!!!!!!!

Young Dro will kill you on a track

Okay, I like Young Dro's raps. There I said it. You should admit it too. Dude is an A-Town lyricists. He is a monster with the pen simple and plain. He has mastered his style to the point that if you get on a track with him, he will embarrass you. He has done it to, T.I.(though thats the closest match), Hell Rell, Big Kuntry King (anyone can oust him), Young Jeezy, Slim Thug, and just about anyone else he has done a song with. You just can't compete with his wordplay and imagery. Take note all southern rappers. This is how you can be crunk and hip-hop.

Tech Supreme's GFX in THE SOURCE MAGAZINE

My wonderful graphics have made it in the Source magazine. Apparently The Source has rededicated itself to Hip-Hop. That might be a good look because I havent bought a Source Magazine for years. Ever since Benzino I have been super cool off of their totally biased opinions. Well I have been doing some graphics for the super popular NYOIL out of New York, and his new mixtape got some pub in this months issue with Snoop Dogg on the cover. Its a good look for real hip-hop. Plus my cell number is super visible which is kinda hilarious.

TO RAP OR NOT TO RAP

Okay so here is the question that every person that does music eventually has to ask themshelves. "Is it time to call it quits yet?" This music thing is a who you know business nowadays. It used to be that the good music rises to the top, but in the wake of the "Umma Do Me's" and the "Dunn Dunn's" its clear that quality music is a thing of the past. So as a producer/rapper/promoter/graphic designer, I constantly evaluate my progress and ask myself if its time to quit yet.
As a youngn I promised myself that I would never quit. I still hold true to that. Unfortunately a lot of people around me have fallen out of the race. I wont name any names for fear that they dont know they have fallen out of the race, but when i talk to them all i hear is excuses. Cats have started families, and thats all good, but sometimes that causes people to work harder, but sometimes it forces people to stop. I have no children and no wife, because I chose to put those things aside so i can properly chase my dreams. If not then I will be struggling working for someone else the rest of my life. If i short change my dreams the only person I really hurt is myself.
I imagine that Samuel Jackson could have quit a long time ago. I have never seen a young Samuel L. Jackson. Get the picture? If not then start a family and imitate the cosby's. Stay out of rap altogether and leave it to the people that are serious. If you feel this blog is a personal attack on you, it's not. If you feel this does attack you, then re-evaluate your shit. If you need me, I will be on the grind. Holla at cha.

RUN TO THE SUN

Sometimes when you go to a concert you will hear something that totally touches your spirit. This is a very common thing that happens when you are in the presence of good music. About a month ago I went to a N*E*R*D* concert and was completely amazed. First off Chad, and Shay were there and Pharrell had incredible energy. I was upset that they didnt perform "Provider", but there performance of "Run to the Sun" made me truly appreciate the song. I have loved this album since the first week it was released, but for some reason this song never jumped out at me until they performed it. Now I can't stop listening to it.

Download "Run to the Sun" here

If you havent bought any N*E*R*D* albums please do so ASAP.

You Can't Force Talent

I hate to be considered a hater, which means nothing nowadays. If you have any opinion that is negative that means your a hater. Anyway I think Teyana Taylor is wack. I'm sorry. Just cause you did a Sweet 16 episode doesnt mean you have talent. I listened to "Google Me" and it was trash. I listened to "Swaggg" and it was "Trassshh". Just stop doing music please. Or dont release music until youve found your voice. Stop trying to ride the wave. I dont care if Pharrell co-signs you. I though Fam-Lay was trash too (Sorry Trackstar). Check the song and let me know what you think. The link is from http://www.rockthedub.com/ shout outs to Khal.

Definition of Brolic

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=brolic&defid=2267

This by far is my new favorite slang word. There is no better way to describe something than BROLIC. Ex. This chick that keeps walking by my desk has a BROLIC ass. Tef Poe knows what I'm talking about.

Trackstar The DJ new Boogie Bang

You already know what it is. Trackstar the DJ is the hardest working mixtape DJ in St. Louis. Period. He drops straight mixtapes, not cds with 20 different songs with drops all over them. You want authentic music, look no further. This jawn is hosted by Chaundon and Vandalyzm of the Hall of Justus. Props to the designer (me shameless plug). Til BOOGIE BANG 14. Peace.

What is wrong with you people?

Okay seriously now, this fashion thing is getting out of hand. I understand the importance of brand recognition and things like that. If I'm wearing sneakers its gotta be Nike's. I enjoy the brand. I like Gucci shoes, but I don't wear em. Why? Is it because I can't afford em. Partly. I dont buy things to fit in or live outside of my means. So why do so many people I know who have less than me breaking their necks to wear these brands they cant afford. Why do you make 10 dollars an hour but your wearing Gucci shoes with the Gucci shirt. That leads me to believe one of two things, one your an over spending idiot, or two they are fake ass hell. Can you say Canal Street (my NY heads know what I'm talking about)? Remember Von Dutch? Cats were breaking their necks to cop some gear. Now what? You come in the club with that on and you will get laughed at. Next year when you rocking your outdated pair of True Religion Jeans, everyone will be laughing at you. Take my advice, stop hopping on trends and stick with the fashion companies that have been tried and tested. The Ralph Laurens, and so on and so forth. No one really cares about your 300 dollar Evisu jeans. You cannot keep up with Jay-Z so stop trying. I will see you at Burlington. Lol.

T.I. OFF HOUSE ARREST!!!!!

You don't understand the situation like I do. Its obvious. If you did then you would be outraged. This dude is a convicted felon. I repeat, convicted felon. He doesnt just have handguns, this nigga has an arsenal of weapons. If this was just Clifford from the Westside you would be like this nigga trippin. Lock his ass up. But since he is a rapper of notoriety he is lawless. His lawyer confirmed that he is off house arrest, and on a curfew. While I am happy that a black man beat the system, at the same time he only beat it because he had money. Not because of his innocence. This is bullshit. I cant wait to get money. Im wildin out. Nigga I'm lawless. Holla back at me with your thoughts.

UPGRADE OR DOWNGRADE?

Okay, real talk, Shaq's ex-wife Shanice is fine as shit. I would have worked that shit out. "Oh you got another bank account, cool, we rich bitch!!!!" Unfortunately there were unreconcible differences. No biggie Shaqs one of the greatest players of all time he can get something better. Or maybe not. He was at his birthday party with the chick in the first pic. They appeared like an item to all. She's not ugly she is just regular. Especially coming from Shanice to that. Its not real in my opinion. What do ya'll think?

The Best of The Neptunes

This is a mixtape I put together in preparation of the N*E*R*D* concert that came to town a few weeks ago. Its a straight blend tape with no drops. Pharrell and Chad are big influences to me. I remember hearing Nore's "Superthug" and thinkng what the hell am i listening to. They are ahead of their time. So enjoy the mix. I think I am gonna do a couple more mixes before the summer. Maybe a Best of Timbaland and a Best of Just Blaze. Stay tuned.

The First Posting

Okay, so I have made a bit of an upgrade. The days of the myspace blog is over. I am gonna do a lot of posts on here everyweek, so please stay tuned. I will hopefully be able to share some dope music and news with you via this blog. So without further ado, lets get it poppin!
